Job summary

French Lick Resort is seeking a Guest Room Attendant to maintain high standards of room cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You will stock supplies, clean bathrooms, make beds, and handle safety procedures while upholding the resort's Green Program and housekeeping policies.

The role requires standing for extended periods, reliable timekeeping, and courteous service to guests and colleagues. Successful candidates will pass background checks and drug screenings as part of employment.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
• Must have basic knowledge of chemicals and their uses.
• Must be able to work on feet for an extended period of time.
• Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Must be knowledgeable and familiar with all aspects of custodial service.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to work in the Casino in a non-sensitive area.
• Employment contingent upon favorable background investigation and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Keeps work cart orderly and properly stocked at all times.
• Inspects room linens before placing in rooms and returns below standard pieces to Housekeeping.
• Utilizes equipment, supplies and guest amenities properly.
• Cleans and sanitizes guest bathrooms thoroughly.
• Changes soiled linens on beds and makes beds following the property standards and those set forth in the Green Program daily.
• Cleans rooms, balconies and room furnishings.
• Maintains constant awareness of safety hazards and reports to Floor Supervisor or Housekeeping Office.
• Follows through on lost and found procedures and respects guests' property at all times.
• Practices safety standards at all times.
• Responsible for care of equipment.
• Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records.
• Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and co-workers.
• Performs other duties as reasonably requested by Management.

The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that standards of cleanliness in assigned guest rooms are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

4. Cleans and sanitizes guest bathrooms thoroughly.
5. Changes soiled linens on beds and makes beds following the property standards and those set forth in the Green Program daily.
6. Cleans rooms, balconies and room furnishings.
7. Maintains constant awareness of safety hazards (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons) and reports to Floor Supervisor or the Housekeeping Office. Follows all training procedures set forth in the Bloodborne Pathogens program.
8. Follows through on lost and found procedures (for example anything found in rooms that are vacant must be turned into Security directly). No articles should ever be removed from occupied rooms. Absolute respect for guests’ property should all time be exercised.
9. Practices safety standards at all times.
10. Responsible for care of equipment.
11. Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records and follows proper standards for issuance of rooms.
12. Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and co-workers at all times.
13. Performs other duties as reasonably requested by Management.
