Job summary

Sapphire Nursing at Wappingers is seeking Per-Diem Housekeepers to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in resident and common areas in Dutchess County, NY.

You will follow work flow, transport supplies, and perform daily cleaning duties including floors, walls, bathrooms, and laundry areas, while adhering to safety guidelines and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions of common rooms, resident rooms, and resident laundry as assigned on a daily basis.
• Receives instructions, assembles cleaning supplies and equipment, then transports to designated area.
• Sweeps, mops, washes floors and walls; cleans toilets, sinks, mirrors and fixtures.
• Gathers and disposes of trash and cleans wastebaskets; changes mattresses when needed.
• Replenishes supplies and performs related duties as assigned.

a long term skilled nursing facility located in Dutchess County, New York is looking to hire Per-Diem Housekeepers. This position maintains cleanliness, presentation and sanitary conditions of common rooms, resident rooms, and resident laundry as assigned on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Receives instructions as to area and specific work assignments, assembles necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for transporting to the designated area. Follow work flow of assigned area.
• Sweeps, mops and wet washes floors.
• Washes walls and trims, ceilings and inside windows by hand; using water, cleaning solutions, sponge and cloths.
• Gathers and disposes of trash; washes wastebaskets and large refuse containers.
• Clean and change mattresses.
• Washes doors and door frames.
• Wash elevator doors, walls and trim.
• Clean air outlet and return grilles.
• Vacuum rugs and spot clean where necessary.
• Dust desks, tables, chairs, shelves, cabinets, sills, ledges, etc.
• Clean toilets, urinals and mirrors, dust and wax handrails and other woodwork. Wash sinks and other plumbing fixtures.
• Clean and disinfect beds, wheelchairs, commodes, etc.
• Clean louver drapes.
• Sweep, mop and wax as necessary; polishes floors using buffing machine.
• Move furniture to clean rooms and areas.
• Clean lighting fixtures, tops of windows, door frames and other high places using a ladder when necessary.
• Replenish supplies as needed.
• Perform all related work as assigned.

Any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience which has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities which enable the performance of the duties listed above.
