The role requires following instructions, maintaining floors, walls, fixtures and supplies, and supporting a safe, clean environment for residents and staff.

• Receives instructions as to area and specific work assignments, assembles necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for transporting to the designated area. Follow work flow of assigned area.
• Sweeps, mops and wet washes floors.
• Washes walls and trims, ceilings and inside windows by hand; using water, cleaning solutions, sponge and cloths.
• Gathers and disposes of trash; washes wastebaskets and large refuse containers.
• Clean and change mattresses.
• Wash doors and door frames.
• Wash elevator doors, walls and trim.
• Clean air outlet and return grilles.
• Vacuum rugs and spot clean where necessary.
• Dust desks, tables, chairs, shelves, cabinets, sills, ledges, etc.
• Clean toilets, urinals and mirrors, dust and wax handrails and other woodwork. Wash sinks and other plumbing fixtures.
• Clean and disinfect beds, wheelchairs, commodes, etc.
• Clean louver drapes.
• Sweep, mop and wax as necessary; polishes floors using buffing machine.
• Move furniture to clean rooms and areas.
• Clean lighting fixtures, tops of windows, door frames and other high places using a ladder when necessary.
• Replenish supplies as needed.
• Perform all related work as assigned.

This position maintains cleanliness, presentation and sanitary conditions of common rooms, resident rooms, and resident laundry as assigned on a daily basis.
