Job summary

Delaware North Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia, is hiring full-time and part-time Housekeepers to keep guest areas sparkling and support an exceptional guest experience. Weekend availability is required and duties include cleaning public areas, rooms, and restrooms, with a focus on high standards.

Qualifications

• Limited to no experience required; previous commercial cleaning or guest service experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures.
• Ability to work quickly under pressure and follow instructions.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize public areas, rooms, and restrooms; empty wastebaskets and transport trash to the disposal area; replenish supplies
• Conduct a walk-around of assigned areas to ensure the facility meets housekeeping standards; ensure all linen rooms and work areas are neat, clean, and organized
• Interact with and assist guests on occasion while cleaning guest and meeting rooms
• Report maintenance and repair problems to the supervisor
• Ensure all lost and found items are turned in and logged daily

Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time and part-time Housekeepers to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Housekeeper, you will ensure the cleanliness of the facility to maintain our culture of high standards and enhance the guest experience.

$14.50 - $14.50 / hour

What will you do?

More about you

• Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations
• No high school diploma or GED required

Physical requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing of stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying; use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing duties
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Visual acuity is sufficient to inspect the cleanliness of rooms and surfaces
