Job summary

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Housekeeper to join our team at The Sheraton in Nashua, New Hampshire. You will ensure the cleanliness of the facility to maintain high standards and enhance the guest experience.

The position offers 8:30 am–4:30 pm shifts with Fridays-Sundays required, and pay between $16.00 and $18.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is described, including weekly pay and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Limited to no experience required; previous cleaning or guest service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize public areas, rooms, and restrooms; empty waste and replenish supplies.
• Inspect assigned areas to ensure housekeeping standards; keep linen rooms and work areas neat and organized.
• Interact with and assist guests while cleaning guest and meeting rooms.
• Report maintenance and repair problems to the supervisor.
• Log and return lost and found items daily.

$16.00 - $18.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize public areas, rooms, and restrooms; empty wastebaskets and transport trash to the disposal area; replenish supplies.
• Conduct a walk-around of assigned areas to ensure the facility meets housekeeping standards; ensure all linen rooms and work areas are neat, clean, and organized.
• Interact with and assist guests on occasion while cleaning guest and meeting rooms.
• Report maintenance and repair problems to the supervisor.
• Ensure all lost and found items are turned in and logged daily.

More about you

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Limited to no experience required; previous commercial cleaning or guest service experience preferred.
• This position requires you to be able to work 8:30 am-4:30 pm. Working Friday-Sunday is mandatory.
• Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures.
• Ability to work quickly under pressure and follow instructions.
• Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Physical requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing of stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying; use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing duties.
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Visual acuity is sufficient to inspect the cleanliness of rooms and surfaces.
