Cornell University is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep of the camp's physical environment. This role includes a variety of tasks, such as plumbing, electrical work, landscaping, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma, be at least 18 years old, and have a valid driver's license.
The position offers a pay rate of $22.00 – $26.50 per hour, requiring availability for 20+ hours per week and potential weekend work. Benefits include health coverage only.
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Assistant maintains, repairs and refurbishes elements of the camp’s physical environment to protect the health and safety of the campers and staff. The Maintenance Assistant will support a wide variety of operations related to facilities management and maintenance, including but not limited to grounds keeping, moving and storage, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, small motor repair, fire safety, sanitation, pest control and housekeeping. The Maintenance Assistant may also provide support to program staff.
