Job Description

The room attendant works under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper and the Assistant General Manager or General Manager. Responsibilities include following a daily schedule, cleaning guestrooms, performing duties outside guestrooms, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Load carts with supplies
2. Turn off electricity (set to fan or cool)
3. Strip beds of checked-out rooms, drop linens at laundry, turn off lights
4. Clean and organize carts
5. Make beds properly
6. Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
7. Dust and polish furniture and surfaces
8. Clean bathrooms and remove used amenities
9. Inspect rooms for safety and damage
10. Report maintenance issues and lost items
11. Prepare rooms for new guests and respond to special requests
12. Maintain cleanliness of storage areas and carts
13. Record room status and complete assigned tasks
14. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred
• Attention to detail
• Customer service experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Walking, standing, bending, and stooping for long periods
• Pushing vacuums and lifting mattresses
