Job summary

Avera St. Anthony's Hospital is seeking a PRN Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment across patient rooms, nurse stations, lounges and public areas. The role includes various cleaning tasks, stocking supplies, and supporting a multidisciplinary team.

The position is as-needed, with a late afternoons/evening shift, requiring reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a hospital setting while upholding Avera's CARE values.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and neat environment in assigned areas such as patient rooms, nurse stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, elevators and lobby areas.
• Participate in cleaning activities including dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture and trash removal.
• Keep cleaning carts stocked with supplies and maintain good customer relations at all times.

Pay Range: The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent upon experience. $17.50 - $21.50

A Brief Overview Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas which may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.

What you will do Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas. Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash. Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies. Maintain good customer relations at all times. May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience

• High School or GED Equivalent
