Job summary

Beacon Brook Center for Health & Rehabilitation, located in Connecticut, is seeking an entry-level Housekeeper. You will create a clean, healing environment for residents, guests, and staff, and gain insight into long-term care career paths.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning, sanitizing areas, restocking supplies, and collaborating with team members to maintain safety and order. Training and mentorship are provided as part of our supportive culture.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Dispose of trash and waste.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines, vacuums, etc.

What You'll Do:

As a Housekeeper, the clean, healing environment that you create will improve the comfort and well-being of our residents, guests and team. This entry-level position also offers a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn more about long-term care and its many career opportunities.

What You’ll Bring:

Qualifications of a Housekeeper include:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided
