Job summary

The Pines at Rutland, affiliated with National Health Care Associates, seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, healing environment for residents and staff. This entry-level role offers training and opportunity to grow within long-term care.

As a Housekeeper, you will perform daily cleaning tasks, ensure hygiene in bathrooms and common areas, and collaborate with the care team to support a safe, comfortable home for our residents. USD $17.00/hr.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
  • Compassionate and empathetic, works well in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
  • Dispose of trash and waste.
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with other staff to maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines and vacuums.

What You'll Do

As a Housekeeper, the clean, healing environment that you create will improve the comfort and well-being of our residents, guests and team. This entry-level position also offers a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn more about long-term care and its many career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms

What You'll Bring

Qualifications of a Housekeeper include:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long-term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
