Overview

This position is a full-time role working from 7am to 3:30pm, with no weekends required. Housekeepers are a vital part of our frontline infection prevention team, providing essential cleaning and sanitizing services across various spaces including patient units, offices, clinics, treatment areas, and public spaces. Responsibilities include removing refuse and soiled linens, and operating cleaning equipment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform technical cleaning in specialized areas such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and ED.
• Ability to operate light floor cleaning equipment.
• Ability to lift and transport patients in emergencies.
• Physical ability to reach, stand for long periods, squat, bend, carry, or lift supplies and equipment weighing up to 80% of the time, including up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Wearing protective gear such as gowns, gloves, goggles, and closed-toe footwear as required.
• Indiana driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• No prior experience required.
