The Commonwealth of Kentucky, General Government Cabinet, Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks a part-time Housekeeper for the Joseph “Eddie” Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY. Responsibilities include keeping a clean, safe environment, recording cleaning and supply usage, and assisting with floors and related duties.

Description

The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located inbeautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence,preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.

We are currently seeking a self- motivated, energetic Housekeepers to perform the following:

• Maintaining a clean, safe, orderly, comfortable, sanitary attractive environment.
• Maintaining records of maintenance and cleaning of assigned areas and supply usage.
• Other housekeeping duties as needed such as cleaning and maintaining floors.

The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serve Kentucky’sVeterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care.

This position, in Hopkins county has an approved Locality Premium of $7.89 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034Section 9(1).

This job classification is approved for the following shift premiums, in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(2), which are applied to the base salary.

• Second and Third shift: 15%
• Weekend: 25%
• Holidays: 25%
