Position Details:

This position is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Housekeeper is responsible for general cleaning in office buildings, resident halls, or other areas, operating laundry machines, and training others in laundry operations. This is classified as essential personnel and may require overtime based on departmental needs.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
• Ability to follow instructions, both oral and written.
• Proficiency in using cleaning supplies and maintaining equipment.
• Strong customer service attitude and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize.
• Physical capability to perform tasks such as bending, lifting, and reaching for extended periods.
• Awareness of safety compliance and accountability for tasks.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of housekeeping/janitorial experience.

Additional Information:

Key Responsibilities:

• Empty waste receptacles and replace liners.
• Sweep, mop, and buff floors.
• Vacuum and shampoo rugs.
• Strip and refinish floors as needed.
• Clean bathrooms, fixtures, mirrors, stalls, toilets, showers, vents, and stock supplies.
• Perform special cleaning for areas like patient beds, exam tables, IV poles, wheelchairs, carts, and surgical lighting using specific cleansers and sterilized equipment.
• Transport and send dirty linens and towels to laundry.
• Dispose of solid waste properly.
• Clean surfaces including seating, tables, desks, sinks, doors, and more.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and other facilities.
• Serve as liaison between customers, patients, nurses, researchers, and students.
• Participate in training and internal activities as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience.
