Job summary

Colonial Downs Group (CDG), owned by Churchill Downs Incorporated, seeks an EVS Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the EVS department at night (10 PM–6 AM) and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.

The role involves supervising Attendants, training staff, coordinating tasks, and ensuring OSHA/Hazcom compliance. A high school diploma, 6 months–1 year in a related field, and a valid racing license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months to one year of experience in related field preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

Responsibilities

• Supports and trains EVS Attendants in various tasks, ensuring the results meet and/or exceed company expectations.
• Works with Facilities Supervisor to create tasks and checklists.
• Holds department pre-shift briefings and delegate job assignments as per guidance of the Facilities Manager.
• Ensures operation is OSHA and Hazcom compliant, including maintenance of the departmental MSD Sheets.
• Ensure all equipment and chemicals are safely labeled, stored, and team members are fully educated on use/hazards.
• Receives equipment and supplies and coordinates distribution and storage of such in an organized fashion.
• Ensures that all storage areas are labeled and maintained in good order.
• Monitors equipment condition and ensures that it is properly maintained.
• Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for supervisory support to the facilities leadership team for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the EVS department.

Shift is 10PM-6AM Wednesday through Sunday. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume hospitality environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months to one year of experience in related field preferred.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

• The Team Member will be required to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
