Job summary

Hotel Indigo Baton Rouge is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeper/Housekeeping Inspector to maintain our five-star standard in guest rooms. This dual role will involve hands-on cleaning as well as inspection and team guidance.

Ideal candidates have housekeeping experience, a sharp eye for detail, and solid communication skills. Flexibility for weekends/holidays is required, with opportunities for growth into leadership roles and hotel-wide improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience required; hotel inspection or supervisory experience a big plus.
• Sharp eye for detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs throughout your shift.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms to Hotel Indigo's exacting standards, including beds, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking amenities.
• Inspect completed rooms for quality, cleanliness, and safety before release to guests.
• Spot-check housekeeping staff work and provide friendly, constructive feedback.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and supply shortages promptly.
• Maintain accurate room status logs and communicate with the front desk on room readiness.
• Help train new housekeeping team members on cleaning standards and procedures.
