Job summary

McLaren Health Care Corporation in Michigan is seeking a full-time housekeeping professional to support patient areas, bathrooms, and common spaces. The role emphasizes infection control and adherence to department policies. Schedule includes 3:00PM - 11:30PM with weekends required.

You will perform cleaning tasks across patient rooms and public areas, maintain floors, and ensure all waste is handled according to guidelines as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of housekeeping experience preferred in education, healthcare, and/or business and industry.

Responsibilities

• Removes all regular and medical waste.
• Cleans and disinfects all bathrooms and fixtures according to departmental guidelines.
• Cleans and disinfects all patient rooms on a daily basis per departmental guidelines.
• Performs all cleaning functions as scheduled (high and low dusting, disinfecting of all surfaces, window cleaning, dry and wet mopping.)
• Maintains all floor surfaces (dry and wet mopping, vacuuming, carpet shampooing or extraction, stripping, scrubbing, refinishing, burnishing.)
• Completes all housekeeping projects as assigned (stairwells, elevators, doors…).
• Attends monthly department meetings.
• Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.
