Job summary

Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital is seeking a Full-time Environmental Services Associate to clean and disinfect throughout the facility under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor. You will handle patient and non-patient areas, follow safety and infection-control guidelines, and collaborate with staff to maintain a welcoming, sanitary environment.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and the ability to lift and perform routine cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• English reading, writing and instruction follow-through required.
• Housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient and non-patient areas according to standards.
• Perform floor care and routine cleaning with proper chemicals and equipment.
• Collect and remove trash and soiled linen per procedures.
• Maintain assigned areas, equipment and storage spaces clean and orderly.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, chemical handling and PPE requirements.
• Identify and report safety hazards and maintenance concerns to supervisor.
• Complete duties efficiently and assist with additional tasks as needed.
• Provide courteous service while collaborating with patients, visitors, and staff.

Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, performs cleaning and disinfecting throughout the Hospital to maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include floor care, waste and linen removal, and general housekeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient and non-patient areas according to established standards.
• Perform floor care and routine cleaning using appropriate chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Collect and remove trash and soiled linen according to established procedures.
• Maintain assigned areas, equipment, and storage spaces in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, chemical handling, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and other issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Complete assigned duties efficiently and assist with additional areas or tasks based on operational needs.
• Provide courteous and professional service while working collaboratively with patients, visitors, and Hospital staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Housekeeping experience and knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment preferred, but not required.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting and performing routine, repetitive tasks.

Job Type: Full-time, PMs

Pay: $23-$32/hour
