Job summary

San Benito Health Care District is seeking a per diem Hospital Housekeeper to maintain a safe, sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will perform cleaning, disinfecting, and routine duties across patient and non-patient areas.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read and follow instructions in English. Cleaning experience is preferred but not required, with physical tasks including lifting involved.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient and non-patient areas according to standards.
• Perform floor care and routine cleaning with appropriate chemicals and equipment.
• Collect and remove trash and soiled linen per procedures.
• Maintain assigned areas, equipment and storage spaces clean and orderly.
