Job summary

PruittHealth in Georgia-Marietta is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to provide cleaning services that create a safe, sanitary, comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The role includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waste disposal, bathroom cleaning, window and surface cleaning, and adherence to infection control standards. Full-time, 1st shift, on-site position with on-the-job training and preferred high school diploma.

Qualifications

• None, on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors following center procedures.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Empties trash cans, cleans exterior and interior, replaces with a clean liner.
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets.
• Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning.
• Prevents/removes wax/dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways.
• Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for the outside windows as needed.
• Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies for the outside windows, using a ladder.
• Dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms.
• Moves furniture to clean behind/underneath, according to center procedures.
• Turns bed mattresses after cleaning.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors.May occasionally be required to spray buff, strip or wax floors, following center procedures, including the use of wet floor signs.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Empties trash cans, cleans exterior, cleans interior, and replaces with a clean can liner
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets, following center procedures.
• Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning.
