Job summary

PruittHealth in Georgia (Toccoa Falls) is seeking a part-time housekeeping aide to maintain a safe, sanitary, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, bathrooms, and patient rooms in accordance with facility policies and infection control standards.

No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. This role supports daily operations at PruittHealth - Toccoa location.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors; may spray buff, strip or wax floors per center procedures with wet floor signs.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms where applicable; empties trash and replaces with clean liners.
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets following center procedures; cleans glass surfaces (mirrors, pictures, windows).
• Dusts and damp-cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms (furniture, bed frames, windowsills) following procedures; moves furniture to clean behind/underneath.
• Follows infection control standards while cleaning and prevents dirt buildup in corners, baseboards and doorways.

Housekeeping services provided are in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents

Key Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors.May occasionally be required to spray buff, strip or wax floors, following center procedures, including the use of wet floor signs.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Empties trash cans, cleans exterior, cleans interior, and replaces with a clean can liner
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets, following center procedures.
• Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning.
• Prevents/removes wax/dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways.
• Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for the outside windows as needed.
• Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies for the outside windows, using a ladder.
• Dust/damp cleans surfaces in patient/resident rooms (furniture, bed frames, windowsills, etc.) following center procedure, including the use of wet floor signs.
• Moves furniture to clean behind/underneath, according to center procedures.
• Turns bed mattresses after cleaning.

Minimum Experience Required

None, on-the-job training is provided

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous Experience With Healthcare Housekeeping Or Environmental Services Preferred
