Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to provide cleaning services in our facility located in Georgia-Macon. You will ensure a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors in accordance with center procedures and regulations.

The role requires following infection control standards, handling routine floor, surface, and window cleaning duties, and performing tasks with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors, may spray buff, strip or wax floors following center procedures.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms.
• Empties trash cans, cleans exterior and interior areas, replaces liner.
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets.
• Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards while cleaning.
• Prevents wax/dirt buildup in corners, baseboards, and doorways.
• Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed.
• Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies for outside windows using a ladder.
• Dusts surfaces in patient/resident rooms following procedures.
• Moves furniture to clean behind/underneath.
• Turns bed mattresses after cleaning.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors.May occasionally be required to spray buff, strip or wax floors, following center procedures, including the use of wet floor signs.
• Vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable.
• Empties trash cans, cleans exterior, cleans interior, and replaces with a clean can liner
• Cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets, following center procedures.
• Cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
• Cleans behind and underneath furnishings.
• Follows infection control standards while performing cleaning.
