The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our residents. This full-time role features day shift hours, rotating weekends, and a comprehensive benefits package to support a quality living environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and thorough cleaning standards.

• High school diploma or GED preferred; eldercare/housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in residents' rooms and common areas.
• Clean bathrooms daily and restock toiletries as needed.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste per policy.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum as required.
• Move and arrange personal items during room changes.
• Inspect areas for repairs and report maintenance needs.
• Follow chemical safety procedures and secure chemicals when not in use.
• Collaborate with team to support residents and ensure a welcoming environment.

The Lutheran Home is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to help create a clean and welcoming home for our residents in our care community. In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting the daily living environment of those we serve – ensuring their spaces are cared for, and truly like home. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Maintaincleanliness in the resident’s room
• Clean bathrooms daily and restocking toiletries
• Empty trash cans and dispose of the waste in designated areas
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum as needed
• Clean common areas of the facility including hallways, living rooms and dining rooms
• Clean the shower room
• Pack and move personal items for room changes
• Clean and change out beds as needed
• Inspect areas for needed repairs or maintenance and report findings per policy
• Follow proper proceduresin the use of chemicals in the workplace and ensure they are secured when not in use
• Collaborate with team members to support residents and promote a positive living environment
