Job summary

ICFAI in Statesville, NC is seeking a hospital housekeeper for evening shifts. You will clean and service all hospital areas and buildings, arrange furniture, and maintain clean equipment and storage spaces.

The role requires basic reading/writing skills and the ability to follow directions; cleaning experience is helpful, on-the-job training provided. There is no access to patient health information, but you may access medication storage areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write and follow written and oral directions.
• Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Employees receive on-the-job training.
• Must know how to use cleaning equipment (i.e. vacuum cleaner).
• Ability to clean blood and body fluids.
• Ability to clean furniture, windows, restrooms, walls and dust mop and damp mop hard surface floors.
• Must be able to replenish all paper supplies, waste can liners and handle hazardous chemicals correctly.

Shift: Evenings with 5:00 PM start time, alternating weekends

Physical Requirements

• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for extended periods of time.
