Job summary

Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated is seeking a Housekeeper to clean and service all areas of the hospital and buildings owned by the hospital. You will arrange furniture in an organized and orderly fashion and keep equipment and storage areas clean and orderly.

Starts include evenings with 5:00 PM start and alternating weekends. Qualifications include basic reading/writing, ability to follow directions, and willingness to use cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write and follow written and oral directions.
• Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Employees receive on-the-job training.
• Must know how to use cleaning equipment (i.e. vacuum cleaner).
• Ability to clean blood and body fluids.
• Ability to clean furniture, windows, restrooms, walls and dust mop and damp mop hard surface floors.
• Must be able to replenish all paper supplies, waste can liners and handle hazardous chemicals correctly.

The Housekeeper cleans and services all areas of the hospital and all buildings owned by the hospital. They arrange furniture in an organized and orderly fashion. They keep all equipment and storage areas clean and organized. Has no access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Shift: Evenings with 5:00 PM start time, alternating weekends

Physical Requirements
