Overview

Community First is looking for a Full Time Housekeeper to join our team at our Hamilton facility (Berkeley Square)!

Our housekeepers are responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas within our Independent Living facilities in a sanitary, safe, and attractive manner, following established Infection Control and Environmental Services (EVS) procedures as trained and directed by a supervisor. This position ensures the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation while providing exceptional customer service.

Schedule: Full Time

Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm. Must have weekend availability for potential Saturday or Sunday work.

Pay: Starting at $14 per hour, up to $15.50 per hour based on experience (Non Negotiable)

Responsibilities

• Follow cleaning schedules and procedures as directed by supervisor, including assigned areas.
• Adhere to all Infection Control Protocols during cleaning.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum all assigned areas.
• Clean thoroughly from top to bottom and double-check work for safety and quality.
• Check and refill paper towel and soap dispensers as needed.
• Follow laundry protocols for soiled and clean linens.
• Keep janitor closets and supply rooms clean, organized, and secure.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and in-services as requested.
• Report maintenance issues or concerns observed during work.
• Assist with packing patient belongings during discharges.
• Perform other duties as assigned, appropriate for the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience preferred.
• Ability to operate EVS equipment safely and effectively.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move supplies, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Strong customer service skills with courteous and respectful communication.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends may be required.
