Job summary

Vierra Falls Church Rehab & Nursing, a Vierra Communities property, is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

You will perform general cleaning tasks, assist with laundry, sanitize restrooms, and help keep common areas orderly while following safety procedures. This role offers generous benefits and competitive pay with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, laundry, or janitorial work is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Safety procedures for handling cleaning chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Basic digital literacy for timekeeping and HR apps.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks including laundry, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as lobbies and hallways.
• Disinfect surfaces and appliances per established standards.
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed.
• Collaborate with team on larger cleaning projects and respond to issues promptly.

Job Summary

Ensures the provision of a clean environment for our residents and staff, providing high-quality services and high standards of cleanliness, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping/laundry or janitorial work is preferred, but not required

• Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines for handling cleaning chemicals

• Must have basic digital literacy, including the ability to download and navigate smartphone applications used for timekeeping and HR tasks.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties; laundry, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies and emptying trash
• Maintain cleanliness and order in common areas, such as lobbies, hallways, and lounges
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with established standards
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed
• Collaborate with team members to complete larger cleaning projects, such as deep cleaning carpets or windows
• Respond to and resolve any housekeeping issues or complaints promptly and courteously
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe and hazard-free work environment
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position; lift, push, pull, carry heavy objects. Stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, and stretch. Meet the physical requirements outlined in the Job Description.
