Job summary

Hempfield Manor in Greensburg, PA is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to perform daily housekeeping tasks across the community, including resident rooms, offices, bathrooms, hallways and common areas.

You will follow policies and procedures, maintain a clean and safe environment, and assist with laundry as needed. We value compassionate, dependable team players who communicate well with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write with good visual acuity.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Compassionate, team oriented, trustworthy and service-minded.

Responsibilities

• Must follow policies and procedures.
• Clean, wash, sanitize and dust resident rooms, care center offices, bathrooms, hallways and common areas.
• Move and arrange furniture as needed.
• Empty trash and keep storage areas neat and clean.
• Follow infection control and safety practices during daily tasks.
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Cross-train as laundry worker for special assignments.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Responsibilities for a Housekeeper:

• Must follow HCF Policies and Procedures
• Clean, wash, sanitize and dust resident rooms and care center offices, bathrooms, hallways and common areas
• Must meet job related competencies as outlined in the Skills Competency Manual
• Empty trash/waste into proper containers
• Follows all safety policies and procedures during daily tasks
• Attend required in-service education
• Keeps utility, storage areas and equipment neat and clean
• Follows appropriate Infection Control and Universal Precaution practices when performing department procedures
• Moving and arranging furniture
• Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors
• Cross training as laundry worker for special assignments
• All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read, write and have good visual acuity. A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
