Job summary

HCF is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain clean and safe resident rooms and shared spaces in our care center.

The role involves sanitizing areas, moving furniture, and assisting with laundry as needed, while adhering to all safety and infection-control policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and have good visual acuity.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash, sanitize and dust resident rooms, care center offices, bathrooms, hallways and common areas.
• Move and arrange furniture while maintaining safety policies.
• Empty trash and waste into proper containers.
• Follows infection control and universal precaution practices.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff and visitors.
• Cross training as laundry worker for special assignments.

Job description

Position Responsibilities for a Housekeeper:

• Must follow HCF Policies and Procedures
• Clean, wash, sanitize and dust resident rooms and care center offices, bathrooms, hallways and common areas
• Must meet job related competencies as outlined in the Skills Competency Manual
• Empty trash/waste into proper containers
• Follows all safety policies and procedures during daily tasks
• Attend required in-service education
• Keeps utility, storage areas and equipment neat and clean
• Follows appropriate Infection Control and Universal Precaution practices when performing department procedures
• Moving and arranging furniture
• Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors
• Cross training as laundry worker for special assignments
• All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read, write and have good visual acuity. A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
