Job summary

Silver Birch of Fort Wayne North is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services Team. You will help keep our community clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, contributing to their comfort and peace of mind each day.

We offer a caring workplace with benefits and opportunities for growth. You should be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work weekends or evenings as needed, either independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is helpful.
• Housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work some weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain community areas such as hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, and resident rooms.
• Follow daily cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks each shift.
• Respect resident privacy by knocking before entering rooms.
• Use cleaning supplies safely and follow procedures for chemicals.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish to keep spaces neat and sanitary.
• Clean bathrooms, mirrors, windows, and light fixtures.
• Change bed linens and make beds as needed.
• Collect and deliver resident laundry in a timely manner.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to your supervisor.
• Restock and organize cleaning supplies at the end of your shift.
