Job summary

Silver Birch of Fort Wayne North is seeking a Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services Team. You will help keep our community clean, safe, and welcoming for residents who call it home.

Your work supports residents feeling comfortable, cared for, and at ease each day. Responsibilities include cleaning common areas and resident rooms, following schedules, respecting privacy, handling supplies safely, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns to your supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is helpful.
• Housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Dependable, detail-oriented and takes pride in work.
• Team member who is friendly, respectful, able to work independently or with others.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain community areas such as hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, and resident rooms.
• Follow daily cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks each shift.
• Respect resident privacy, always knocking before entering rooms.
• Use cleaning supplies safely and follow proper procedures for chemicals.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish to keep spaces neat and sanitary.
• Clean bathrooms, mirrors, windows, and light fixtures.
• Change bed linens and make beds as needed.
• Collect and deliver resident laundry in a timely manner.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to your supervisor.
• Restock and organize cleaning supplies at the end of your shift.
