Housekeeper - Environmental Services Technician - Full Time - Evenings

Position Details

Facility: Cobb Hospital

Schedule: Full Time, Evenings, 11 p.m. - 7:30 a.m., Monday to Friday and every other weekend

Role Overview

This critical role provides essential support through regular, terminal, and isolation cleaning. Responsibilities include maintaining compliance standards in specialized hospital areas such as Operating Rooms, CATH Labs, and Labor and Delivery Suites. General duties involve waste management, including proper removal and transportation of various waste types, use of UV Light devices, and container management. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with staff, patients, and visitors. Training will be provided for specific duties.

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform restroom and patient room cleaning following specific protocols.
  • Adhere to infection prevention standards and use appropriate chemicals.
  • Maintain cleanliness of walls, doors, glass, furniture, and floors.
  • Properly handle and dispose of waste and linens according to guidelines.
  • Use PPE correctly and follow safety procedures.
  • Follow hospital policies and safety protocols, including UV Light device use.
  • Ensure waste containers are properly lined and sealed.
Customer Service & Teamwork
  • Greet and support staff, patients, and visitors positively.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Collaborate on special projects and participate in performance improvements.
Communication & Other Duties
  • Document daily tasks and adjust to staffing needs.
  • Use Epic system for bed and patient management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Certifications required upon hire.
  • Ability to speak and read English fluently; complete departmental training within 30 days.
