Housekeeper - Environmental Services Technician - Full Time - Evenings

Join us at Wellstar Health System as a Housekeeper - Environmental Services Technician for a full-time evening position.

Job Overview

This role involves comprehensive cleaning responsibilities, including terminal and isolation cleaning of hospital areas such as Operating Rooms, CATH Labs, and more. Key duties include waste management, use of UV Light devices, and container management. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role interacts with staff, patients, and visitors. Training will be provided for specific duties.

Location and Schedule

Facility: Cobb Hospital

Schedule: Full Time, Evenings, Monday to Friday, with every other weekend

Core Responsibilities

• Complete cleaning of restrooms and patient rooms following protocols
• Adhere to infection prevention standards and use appropriate chemicals
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, and surface maintenance
• Proper waste and linen disposal following guidelines
• Use PPE correctly and practice safe lifting techniques
• Follow hospital policies and protocols, including UV Light safety procedures
• Maintain proper waste container liners and ensure proper disposal

Customer Service and Teamwork

• Exhibit a positive attitude with staff, patients, and visitors
• Practice excellent customer service skills
• Participate in team projects and performance improvement initiatives

Communication and Additional Duties

• Document daily tasks and adapt to staffing needs
• Use Epic system for bed and patient flow management
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Certifications required upon hire

• Complete departmental training within first 30 days
