Job summary

The Health Center at Standifer Place in Chattanooga, TN is hiring for a full-time Housekeeper earning $14.50 per hour with a full benefits package. You must be able to work weekdays, weekends and holidays from 7:00am to 3:00pm and perform cleaning duties in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities include making beds, cleaning patient rooms and bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, collecting trash, and keeping equipment and supplies in good order.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with residents and staff.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.

• Make beds; clean patient rooms and bathrooms; sweep, mop, vacuum and dust.
• Collect and remove trash; keep equipment clean and in good condition; monitor supplies.

Examples of Housekeeping Duties Performed:

• Perform cleaning duties for a long-term care nursing center
• Examples of responsibilities include: making beds, cleaning patient rooms and bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, and dusting
• Collect and remove trash from assigned area
• Keep equipment clean and in proper operating condition
• Maintain adequate level of housekeeping supplies

Qualifications:

• Be a high school graduate or its equivalent and some knowledge of institutional cleaning procedures
• Embrace the standards, values, and beliefs of the organization
• Possess ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Be capable of maintaining effective working relationships with residents, family members, department heads, and fellow associates
• Assure Resident Safety
