Job summary

Ardent Health Services is hiring an Environmental Services (EVS) Housekeeper in Montclair, NJ. Multiple full-time, part-time and PRN shifts are available to fit different schedules.

You will perform a range of cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary hospital environment, including patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas, while delivering excellent service to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in hospital cleaning.
• Preferred: diploma from a vocational/technical program.
• Preferred: 1+ year in medical or hotel settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the facility: restrooms, exam rooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Clean patient rooms using approved cleaners.
• Empty and clean trash daily.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Perform various environmental services duties to keep hospital neat and sanitary.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Physical ability to perform a job that requires bending, stretching, and lifting moderate to heavy loads
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the facility - cleaning/restocking restrooms, cleaning examination rooms, pulling trash, vacuuming, dusting, break rooms, common areas
• Clean patient rooms using approved cleaners
• Empty and clean trash cans daily.
• Excellent Customer Service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
• Perform a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.
• Perform any and all other duties assigned
