Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Housekeeper. Various full-time, part-time and PRN positions with multiple shift options are available.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ year hospital cleaning experience; a diploma from a vocational program and 1+ year medical or hotel experience are preferred. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential to support safe, sanitary patient care environments.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms using approved cleaners.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility including restrooms, examination rooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty and clean trash cans daily.
• Provide excellent customer service and effective communication with patients, staff, and visitors.
• Perform a variety of environmental services duties to maintain a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.

Responsibilities

• Physical ability to perform a job that requires bending, stretching, and lifting moderate to heavy loads
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the facility - cleaning/restocking restrooms, cleaning examination rooms, pulling trash, vacuuming, dusting, break rooms, common areas
• Clean patient rooms using approved cleaners
• Empty and clean trash cans daily.
• Excellent Customer Service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
• Perform a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.
• Perform any and all other duties assigned
