Job summary

Prestige Senior Living in a welcoming, home-like environment is seeking a Housekeeper who will help keep resident rooms and the community clean and safe. You will contribute to comfort and security for residents and their families in a caring setting.

You will work within a team to maintain cleanliness, replenish supplies, and handle routine housekeeping tasks in resident rooms and common areas, including safety and accessibility considerations for seniors.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a housekeeping or facilities role is preferred.
• Experience working with the senior population is helpful in a healthcare environment.
• Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, straightens and picks up trash in commons areas, offices and public rest rooms, replenishing soap and paper products.
• Cleans resident rooms, sinks, toilets, mirrors and surfaces, replenishing soap and paper products.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors on a routine basis.
• Keeps apartments safe, comfortable and attractive, ensuring residents' personal items are protected.
• Cleans spills, soiled areas and other conditions as directed.
• Uses cleaners and other hazardous materials according to product instructions and procedures.
• Cleans exterior windows, patios or other assigned outside areas.

In this job, every day you will…

• Cleans, straightens and picks up trash in commons areas, offices and public rest rooms, to include sinks, toilets, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, furniture and replenishes soap and paper products.

• Ensures that apartments are maintained in a safe, comfortable, and attractive manner, keeping residents' personal items safe.
• Cleans spills, soiled areas, and other conditions as observed or directed.
• Uses cleaners and other hazardous materials according to product instructions and department procedure.
• Cleans exterior windows, patios, or other outside areas as assigned.

Education & Experience You Need To Qualify

• Prior experience in a housekeeping or facilities role a plus, specifically in a multi-unit environment.
• Experience working with the senior population helpful, specifically in a healthcare environment.
• Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
