Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System is seeking a Housekeeper 3 to perform general cleaning, linen, and maintenance services under limited supervision. The role includes duties such as floor care, following infection control protocols, and adhering to established cleaning schedules.

The position requires 2 years of relevant experience and offers benefits as part of a robust package. Evening shifts with rotating weekends are included in the schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant housekeeping experience.
• Ability to operate and maintain general cleaning equipment.
• Familiarity with infection control and universal precautions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks according to established policies and procedures.
• Carry out linen duties as required.
• Operate and care for specialized floor equipment (stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, shampooing).
• Follow daily cleaning schedules using approved cleaning processes and PPE.
• Ensure safe handling of cleaning solutions and adhere to safety precautions; maintain sanitary environment.
• Resolve routine questions and refer complex issues to higher levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Housekeeper 3, under limited supervision, performs general cleaning, linen, and maintenance services.

Schedule

This schedule is for a PM shit, 1630-0100 (4:30pm-1:00am), with Rotating Weekends.

What You Can Expect

• Performs routine cleaning and maintenance tasks that are in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Performs various linen duties that are in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• May operate and care for specialized floor equipment. Responsible for stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, shampooing, extracting, sweeping, and mopping.
• Follow a daily cleaning schedule utilizing approved aseptic techniques and specialized cleaning processes using a variety of cleaning devices.
• Responsible for the safe and proper use of cleaning solutions while adhering to all safety precautions and wearing personal protective equipment when necessary. Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is achieved at all times.
• Resolves routine questions, issues and problems; refers more complex issues to higher levels.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
