The University of New England is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for its Portland campus. This full-time position involves cleaning and routine maintenance across campus buildings, ensuring a welcoming environment for students and faculty. The University of New England ( UNE ), Maine’s largest private university, is home to two stunning coastal campuses in Biddeford and Portland. Our Housekeeping team is essential to the university’s daily operations, helping to ensure clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning and performing routine maintenance across a variety of campus buildings, including residence halls, classrooms, and administrative offices. Housekeepers are assigned to a specific campus and generally follow a set schedule, with occasional opportunities for overtime. This full-time second shift position on our Portland campus offers a flexible start time between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Pay: $17.50 per hour, plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential totaling $18.50 per hour (equivalent to $38,480 annually).
Total Compensation: Ranges from $53,691 to$68,820 depending on selected medical and dental plans.
