Caswell House is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, comfortable environment for residents. The role focuses on general cleaning, laundry, waste management, and supply upkeep while ensuring safety and dignity for seniors.

The position values attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently as well as with a team to support a welcoming home for residents at Caswell House.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Vacuum, dust, sanitize, and mop common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms.
• Laundry Services: Wash, fold, and distribute laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling properly and maintain clean waste areas.
• Inventory Management: Restock cleaning supplies and equipment; report shortages or issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow safety and sanitation protocols for a clean, hygienic environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work with staff to keep the facility well-maintained and residents comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Interact kindly with residents to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
