Hayesville House in Hayesville, NC is seeking a compassionate Housekeeper to maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents. You will perform general cleaning, laundry, waste management, and assist with supplies, working closely with staff to ensure resident comfort.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, prior housekeeping experience, knowledge of safe cleaning practices, and a teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping to keep common areas and resident rooms clean and safe.
• Laundry Services: wash, fold, and distribute laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: dispose of trash and recycling properly and maintain clean waste areas.
• Inventory Management: restock cleaning supplies and equipment; notify if shortages or issues arise.
• Safety & Sanitation: follow safety protocols to ensure a hygienic environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: work with other staff to keep the facility well-maintained and residents comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: interact with residents in a friendly and respectful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.

• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.

• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.

• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.

• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications:
