Currituck House is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team and ensure a clean, welcoming environment for our residents in Moyock, NC. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in housekeeping or janitorial preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: General cleaning of common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff.
• Waste Management: Proper disposal of trash and recycling; keep waste areas clean.
• Inventory Management: Restock cleaning supplies and equipment; report shortages or issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow safety protocols to ensure hygienic living spaces.
• Team Collaboration: Work with staff to maintain the facility and comfort for residents.
• Resident Engagement: Interact with residents in a friendly, respectful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
