Job summary

The Shores of Worthington is seeking a Casual/PRN Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents at our skilled nursing facility.

Wage is $14.66-$16.19 per hour, based on experience. Education required is a high school diploma; no previous experience is necessary. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. We welcome motivated individuals who work well with others and residents alike.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping tasks as assigned and document as required.

We are looking for a Casual/PRN Housekeeper!

Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping department as directed by the Environmental Service Director to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.

Wage: $14.66-$16.19. Wage is based on experience.

Education: Equivalent to a Highschool diploma

Responsibilities:

• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments; document as required by facility policies.

• Coordinate daily housekeeping with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living or recreational areas.

• Clean and disinfect equipment and supplies.

• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms and other work areas.

Experience:

• None required. On-the-job training provided.Students welcome to apply!

Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

• Posses the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members and visitors.

• Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
