Job summary

The Shores of Worthington is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team. This casual/PRN position focuses on assisting with meal prep and service in a skilled nursing setting, ensuring nutritional needs and preferences are met for residents.

Responsibilities include setting up dining areas, delivering trays, cleaning up, and upholding infection control standards while delivering friendly, attentive service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior healthcare or food service experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read, understand and follow dietary instructions and menus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Position Summary:

The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area, and ensuring that residents receive meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary restrictions.




• Set up dining areas for meals and clean up afterward.




• Deliver food trays to residents and assist as needed during meal times.




• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment; maintain cleanliness of food preparation and storage areas.




• Follow infection control and safety procedures.




• Ensure excellent customer service with a friendly, positive attitude.
