The Shores of Worthington is seeking a Casual/PRN Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff at our Skilled Nursing Facility.

As a Housekeeper you will perform daily housekeeping tasks, coordinate with nursing services, clean and disinfect rooms and common areas, and support a respectful, compassionate care culture with on-the-job training available. English required; high school diploma preferred.

We are looking for a Casual/PRN Housekeeper!

Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping department as directed by the Environmental Service Director to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.

Wage:

14.66-$16.19. Wage is based on experience.

Education:

Equivalent to a Highschool diploma

Responsibilities:

• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments; document as required by facility policies.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living or recreational areas.
• Clean and disinfect equipment and supplies.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms and other work areas.

Experience:

• None required. On-the-job training provided. Students welcome to apply!

Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Posses the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members and visitors.
• Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
