Job summary

Ivy Gables Senior Living, part of Asbury Communities, Inc., is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for residents. You will be responsible for cleaning bathrooms, dusting, window care, floors, and managing cleaning supplies with attention to safety and detail.

The position is full-time with occasional weekends and holidays, offering starting pay at $15.00 per hour and opportunities for career growth within a compassionate, inclusive community.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of professional cleaning experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed cleaning instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Experience working in facilities for older adults or retirement communities is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including fixtures, tiles, and mirrors.
• Dust and polish furnishings, fixtures, and ledges throughout the facility.
• Clean windows and mirrors to ensure streak-free surfaces.
• Maintain floor cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, and buffing as appropriate.
• Vacuum, shampoo, and deodorize carpets according to schedules and as needed.
• Clean walls and ceilings, removing cobwebs and debris.
• Apply cleaning solutions to remove dirt, dust, and grease.
• Empty trash, dispose of waste, and replace bin liners.
• Report accidents, incidents, or safety hazards to supervisor promptly.
• Organize cleanliness of storage areas for supplies and equipment.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our cleaning team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for our residents.

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including fixtures, tiles, and mirrors.
• Dust and polish furnishings, fixtures, and ledges throughout the facility.
• Clean windows and mirrors to ensure streak-free, clear surfaces.
• Maintain floor cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, and buffing as appropriate for different floor types.
• Vacuum, shampoo, and deodorize carpets according to established schedules and as needed.
• Clean walls and ceilings, including removal of cobwebs and other debris.
• Apply appropriate cleaning solutions to remove dirt, dust, and grease from various surfaces.
• Empty trash receptacles, dispose of waste properly, and replace bin liners.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Organize and maintain cleanliness of storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
