Atlantic Shores Retirement Community is hiring a Housekeeping Team Leader in Virginia Beach. The role leads day-to-day housekeeping operations, supports staff, and serves as the main contact when the supervisor is absent.

You will ensure cleanliness, safety, and outstanding resident service across areas including residential and medical housekeeping. The position emphasizes trainee coaching, adherence to standards, and effective coordination of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience required, preferably in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or a related environment.
• Prior leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, safety standards, and housekeeping equipment.
• Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members effectively.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing operational needs.
• Working knowledge of residential and medical housekeeping practices preferred.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and provide shift coverage when needed.
• Reliable transportation to work and punctuality.
• Positive attitude and teamwork orientation.

• Work alongside the housekeeping team to complete routine cleaning duties, support special projects, and assist in Residential and Medical Housekeeping areas as needed.
• Maintain department readiness by monitoring supplies and equipment, promoting safety and regulatory compliance, and communicating operational needs and concerns to leadership.

• Position Type: Full Time
• Salary Range: $16.67 – $20.84 hourly
• Shift: Monday – Friday, with rotating weekends and flexible shifts available

Compensation

Position Summary
