Job summary

BSD Properties NJ LLC is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, comfortable spaces in residential or hospitality environments. This role emphasizes attention to detail, responsiveness to guest or resident requests, and a proactive approach to safety and cleanliness.

You will perform cleaning, laundry, basic meal support, and equipment upkeep, ensuring high standards and a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential cleaning, janitorial work, hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning environments.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, sanitation procedures, and laundry operations.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, bending, lifting heavy objects safely, and operating cleaning equipment.
• Familiarity with housekeeper management practices is a plus for supervisory roles.
• Experience with carpet cleaning tools or specialized cleaning equipment is desirable.
• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality settings is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of living spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
• Conduct floor care activities such as vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and polishing surfaces to maintain a spotless appearance.
• Manage laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items with care and efficiency.
• Ensure sanitation standards are met by disinfecting surfaces, waste disposal, and maintaining overall hygiene in all areas.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to requests and ensuring guest or resident satisfaction.
• Handle light cooking tasks as needed to support residents’ or guests’ needs in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of appliances and fixtures, including sinks, countertops, and appliances such as ovens or refrigerators in residential or hospitality environments.
• Assist with custodial responsibilities in larger facilities or commercial settings to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
