Job summary

Christian Hospital in St. Louis is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff. You will follow the hospital's 8-step cleaning process across patient, public and common areas and ensure rooms are ready for the next admission.

This full-time role offers rotating weekends and holidays with an evening shift from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, plus opportunities for growth within BJC. Daily pay is available and comprehensive benefits follow hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine janitorial and cleaning activities in patient, public and common areas using prescribed, established cleaning process.
• Performs discharge cleaning process in inpatient rooms and prepares room for next admission.
• Performs room set up and changes as needed, including changing linens, cleaning, mopping and furnishing.
• Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedure.
• Notifies supervisor or manager of any equipment, furniture, or building fixtures that are in need of maintenance.

Our Housekeeping Department consists of Housekeepers professionally trained to take exceptional care of people by ensuring a clean and safe environment. The Housekeeping Department procedures are the 8¿step cleaning process. They are as follows; High dusting, empty trash, sanitize, spot clean, clean bathroom, dust mop floor, inspect room, damp mop floor.

Role Purpose

The Housekeeper is an environmental services worker who is responsible for daily housekeeping services as assigned, using procedures as outlined by the hospital or service organization.
