Job summary

Western States Lodging & Management is seeking a Housekeeper to help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents. You’ll maintain resident apartments, common areas, and community spaces to high cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, dusting, mopping, bathroom sanitation, linen changes, and waste disposal while working with residents, families, and team members to ensure spaces are tidy and organized.

Qualifications

• Basic cleaning knowledge and sanitation practices.

• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine housekeeping duties in resident apartments, rooms, common areas, and other designated areas.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Change bed linens, make beds, and ensure resident rooms and apartments are tidy and organized.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly and safely.
• Complete assigned housekeeping duties according to priorities set by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Maintain and properly use housekeeping equipment and supplies to minimize waste and promote safety.
• Respond courteously and professionally to resident requests and communicate feedback to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

What Makes You Successful

What We’re Looking For

• 0–1 year of housekeeping or related experience; previous experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or another service environment is helpful but not required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, procedures, and sanitation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, orderly spaces.
• Dependable, hardworking, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and families.
• A genuine willingness to work with and serve older adults.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and safely push, pull, or move items such as housekeeping carts and furniture.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
