Job summary

The St. Petersburg Yacht Club is seeking a dedicated janitorial teammate to maintain high cleanliness and safety across all facilities in Saint Petersburg, FL. You will perform cleaning, floor care, and waste disposal with attention to detail and guest satisfaction.

This role requires ability to lift up to 30 lbs, flexible shifts, and reliable teamwork within a professional club environment dedicated to service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use equipment required for the job.
• Willing to work various shifts when necessary.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, 10-30lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, sweep and mop classrooms, and other work areas so that all facility standards are met.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
• Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and /or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
• Keep storage areas clean and tidy
• Polish silver and brass accessories and metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
• Perform all duties in a timely and professional manner
• Giv(e) recognition to members, when applicable.
• Immediately report to maintenance any damages or loss of items.
• Turn Lost and Found items to Front desk or Manager.

BASIC FUNCTION:Ensures the highest level of cleanliness and safety in all of S.P.Y.C facilities. Promotes excellent public relations and 100% guest satisfaction. Works as a valuable member of a dedicated, professional team. Reports to work as scheduled, in proper uniform, in accordance with the club’s personal appearance standards.
